LinguistWidget ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Data Stored Locally

LinguistWidget stores the following information locally on your device:

• Language Preferences: Your selected learning language (e.g., Italian, French, Arabic)
• Proficiency Level: Your selected CEFR level (A1-C2)
• Learning Progress: Words you've marked as learned
• Statistics: Daily streak count, total words learned, learning goals
• App Settings: Daily goal, preferences, and customizations

Your data is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• Track Your Progress: Monitor which words you've learned and your learning streaks
• Personalize Learning: Show appropriate words based on your selected proficiency level
• Display Statistics: Show your achievements, progress, and milestones
• Widget Functionality: Display your current word on your home screen widget

• Local Storage: All your data is stored locally on your device using secure native frameworks (SwiftData on iOS, Room on Android)
• No Cloud Servers: We do not operate any servers or collect any data from you
• No Accounts: The app does not require account creation, so no personal information is collected

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your information with anyone. Your learning data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or third parties.

Access Your Data

You can view all your learning progress, statistics, and preferences within the app at any time.

Delete Your Data

You have full control over your data:

• Reset Progress: Go to Settings → Reset Progress to clear your learning history
• Delete App: Uninstalling the app will delete all locally stored data

Change Settings

You can change your:

• Selected language
• Proficiency level (CEFR)
• Daily learning goal
• Other app preferences

All changes take effect immediately and are stored locally.

LinguistWidget is safe for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age. Since all data is stored locally on the device and we do not collect any information, there is no risk of inappropriate data collection from children.

Your learning data is retained on your device until you choose to:

• Reset your progress in Settings
• Delete the app from your device

We do not store any of your data on our servers, so there is no retention period on our end.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, there are no international data transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. When we make changes:

• We will update the "Last updated" date at the top
• Significant changes will be announced within the app
• Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance
